ORE MINE jumped out to a clear early lead, held sway through the turn, and widened the margin in the stretch. SON OF A BLING hopped at the start to be last away, settled off the pace while saving ground, angled out three-wide for the stretch run, and closed strongly to gain the place. FLOTATION STATION stalked the early pace three-wide to the turn, took a run at ORE MINE on the lead approaching the quarter pole, but weakened in the final furlong. NORTHVALE ROAD pressed the early pace two-wide, became boxed in at the top of the stretch, then went one paced and lacked a closing response through the stretch. PUDDING was allowed to settle back well off the early pace, started to run on late on the turn, loomed a threat turning for home, but became a little erratic in upper stretch and lost momentum. PLAY RULE raced four to five wide throughout and lacked a late bid. SAMSPLAYERSLOUNGE dropped far behind after the start and was not a factor.
