BISHOP CREEK was devoid of early speed and far back in the early stages, circled the field three to four-wide through the turn to be on even terms with the leaders at the top of the stretch, then drew clear in the late stages to win going away. SPUNOUTOFMYMIND broke well, was the inside horse in the early pace scramble, then dueled with B BLINKNUMISSIT through the turn, left that one behind leaving the three-sixteenths marker, then had no response to the late charge of BISHOP CREEK but held on for second. CAUSE MIMI SAID got away well, settled mid-pack early on the rail, started to run on midway through the turn, hugged the rail into the stretch, and finished well to gain the third prize. RICKIE ROOOO STER lacked early speed despite some coaxing from the rider, stayed mostly to the inside until the stretch, swung five-wide, and chugged on to pass some tired rivals in the stretch. STRAIGHTAWAY pressed the early pace three-wide, then went one-paced and lacked a closing response through the stretch. BLINKNUMISSIT contested the early pace from between horses, went on into the turn with SPUNOUTOFMYMIND, then gave way in upper stretch. HOT ROUTE outpaced early, made a mild middle move on the turn but could not sustain the bid through the stretch. MIDNIGHT HUNTER was close up to the turn, then steadily retreated. MORO LEGEND chased three-wide, stopped mid-way through the turn, and was not persevered with when hopelessly beaten. PLUTONIUM settled in mid-pack for the first quarter-mile, then started to backpedal after passing the half-mile pole and was not involved in the late stages.
