KAUSE I'M DEVINE settled well off the pace, made a strong bid from the three-furlong marker, moved to even terms with SHY ANN near the quarter pole, briefly dueled, then edged ahead in the late stages to prevail. SHY ANN dueled two-wide from the first turn with ITTY BITTY BABY, bested that rival in upper stretch, but could not match the winner in the late stages. AVALING got forward position early, lacked a clear path through the far turn, then could not kick on with the top pair but kept on well to take the third spot. ALL AMERICAN LADY was mid-pack through the early stages, then went evenly through the stretch while lacking a closing bid. IMMA GOING TO WIN was off a step slow, dropped far back early, then ran on evenly up the rail to improve position. ITTY BITTY BABY hustled away to lead the field into the first turn, battled back when confronted approaching the stretch, but gave way late. TEXAS SPEED QUEEN tracked two-wide in the second flight, started to lose ground through the far turn, and was uninvolved in the late stages. GOLDEN PELICAN pressed the pace three-wide to the far turn, did not respond when asked to go on the turn, came very wide out of the last turn while under steady cropping, and offered little down the lane. THOUSAND WINS raced at the head of the trailing pack turning on to the backstretch, then dropped back to last before the half-mile pole, fell far behind before the far turn, and trailed the rest of the way.
