Footnotes
SIP AND GO was in a bit tight after the start but jumped out to a clear early lead, shrugged off the chasers at the quarter pole, and held clear through the stretch. ONE DEAL was outpaced early, dropped down to the rail for the run through the turn, tipped out to the three-path in the stretch and finished well to just get up for the place. JUST HANGIN RIDGE showed good speed from the break and vied in the initial stages, ceded the front and took up the chase of SIP AND GO through the turn, came under pressure near the quarter pole, chased the eventual winner, and was tagged at the wire in a close finish for the second spot. DAPILOT moved up after a slow start to be in range of the leaders heading into the turn, was always close, but was unable to find the winning late kick. CAPOTE'S GLITTER showed little interest early and was far back, then made a belated rally to regain contact with the field before the finish. APPEAL GUY broke best and was briefly up on the pace, dropped out at the half, and was not involved in the late stages. RUSTY GADGET tracked between horses in mid-pack, made a four-wide bid into the stretch but weakened before the final furlong.
