Footnotes
DRAMA KING tucked in behind the leaders on the first turn, settled close up along the rail for the first half-mile, moved up under a drive from the three-furlong pole to be even with the leader at the top of the stretch, edged clear in mid-stretch, and widened the margin in the final yards. I AM ON THE LIST had good speed from the break and was guided to lead by open lengths early, fought back gamely when confronted by a host of challengers at the quarter pole, kept on determinedly even after DRAMA KING took the lead, and outfinished the rest of the field to hold second. ENDUE was near the back through the first turn, steadily advanced late on the backstretch run, responded when asked to go on from the seven-sixteenths marker, got a seam to run through in upper stretch, could not get to the top two but gained and held the third spot. MOONWALK was the outside horse in the tracking group, fanned four wide into the stretch, and finished evenly. BORDERLAND was sent hard from the outside post to get forward position, tracked in second behind the pacesetter, was under a ride passing the half-mile pole, then was boxed in on the far turn, but weakened and had no response when clear in the stretch. CRUZIN FOR GURLS brought up the rear thought the early stages then lacked a finish. EXPAT bobbled slightly after the start, then lacked any early speed, settled along the rail to the far turn, ran up into a wall of horses at the quarter pole, steadied, then tried to rally but lacked a finishing kick. MILLERS BRO settled well behind the rest and failed to rally.
