BLUE LIGHT had the best speed from the start and went to the lead, was joined by SITKA on the outside, settled back in a stalking position, rebid for the lead approaching the quarter pole, took a clear lead in upper stretc and drew clear in the late stages. KNOCK KNOCK JOKE settled two-wide near the back of the pack but not far from the front, swung four-wide into the stretch and rallied, was never a threat to the winner but moved up to take down the second prize. DOMINANT SPIRIT raced close up inside, finished up well to gain third. SITKA away well, put a head in front past the half-mile pole, had a slight lead through the turn, then could not go with BLUE LIGHT from teh had of he stretch, and weakened in the last furlong. CARIBBEAN DREAM raced along the rail without a clear path forward down the backstretch, moved out a path on the turn, struggled to keep pace midway through the turn, but managed to pass a tired foe in the late stages. COMPETITIVE IDEA raced wide, steadied in mid-stretch and lost any chance at that point.
