DUST EM broke well, carried a slight lead despite pressure from TIZABLING to the outside, gained the upper hand in mid-stretch, then held sway the final yards. TIZABLING broke on top but ceded the front to DUST 'EM, pressed that one to the outside through the turn, was never able to get past that rival, but kept trying and settled for second. BOBBY BRINKLEY raced close up along the rail behind the leading pair, finished up well under steady handling, but could not improve. ZAVALA raced off the pace down the backstretch, saved ground and came under a ride early on the turn, but lacked a late bid. BLING MOUNTAIN was the early trailer but never far from the front, moved up late on the turn, three-wide, came five-wide into the stretch but lacked a late kick. JOSH'S DREAM was reluctant to load, was taken to the outside after the start, raced four-wide to the turn, came under the crop late on the turn, but did not respond with any improvement in the stretch.
