YOUNG POPE showed no speed from the outset and trailed down the ackstretch, started a forward move on the turn, to pull even at the top of the stretch, then drew clear in the final furlong. CAUSE MIMI SAID contested the pace between rivals, was still with a chance in upper stretch but got tired late, flattened out, but managed to hold the place. SPUNOUTOFMYMIND was the inside horse in the three-way early pace battle, gave way in the stretch but kept on to save third. CONFIDING saved ground to the stretch, came out three-wide but lacked a finishing kick. MIDNIGHT HUNTER vied three-wide early on, had to be ridden to keep up passing the quarter pole, then faltered in the stretch. PLUTONIUM was three-wide with the trailing group, dropped out of the picture before the turn, and was galloped out to the wire well behind the rest and walked off. BO BO DOUGH dropped back to mid-pack after a level start, was pulled up at the quarter pole, and was eased in upper stretch, vetted, and transported from the track in the equine ambulance, was later reported to have bled.
