FINAL STORM settled in the middle of the pack, tipped out to the four-path for the stretch run, and finished up well to win clear in the end. MCDUDE was outpaced a bit going down the backstretch, dropped to last heading into the turn, launched a bid from the three-furlong pole, came five or six wide into the stretch, and finished well to gain second. BETTYS CASH raced close up along the rail, finished well, but was overtaken late. PROVEN ADVOCATE got pinched back slightly at the start, settled at the back early, hugged the rail through the turn, and made a late rally to improve. STORMY AT MIDNIGHT broke well, dueled early, went clear turn, led late, failed to last. MIDNIGHT BOSS last away, raced four wide near the rear and outfinished tired rivals. SMARTIER raced near the back two-wide, saved ground but never threatened. BIG TIME CHARLIE dueled for the early lead under some restraint, then had no late response and faded. MOBSTER tracked close up three wide then came up empty in the stretch.
