Footnotes
WORTH LOOKING broke well, settled back off the pace three of four wide, launched a bid leaving the seven-sixteenths marker, loomed at the top of the stretch, then wore down FORT HOOD on the lead and held off a late bid by AXTON on the outside to prevail. AXTON bobbled at the start, showed good speed but backed off from a potential speed duel down the backstretch, tracked a few lengths off the pace, stipped out three-wide into the stretch, had some traffic trouble in upper stretch, sitched out a path and finished up well, closed in on the leader but just missed. FORT HOOD vied inside for the early lead, put a head in front past the five-surlong pole, went a length clear passing the half, turned back all challengers at the quarter pole, went clear into the stretch, and finished up well but was overtaken in the final yards. SEND OFF outrun after a level start, advanced four-wide through the turn, then continued to run on mildly with some interest through the stretch to improve. PINKY RING BLING threw the head and was a little slow to begin, moved up to be in range of the leaders passing the half-mile pole, came under a ride with three furlongs to run, finished evenly, but was unable to pose a threat in the late stages. CAWKAB was outrun and trailed early, angled to the rail when clear, kept to task, and mildly improved. THIRD STREET pressed the pace two-wide, then weakened in upper stretch. CLASSY SOCKS was close up in the middle of the field for the frist quarter mile, dropped back approaching the turn, then tried to come back in the stretch, but faltered.
