Footnotes
FAITH'S SPIRIT pressed the pace towards the outside, rallied on the turn, challenged two across, dueled through the stretch and inched away late to prove best. JOE BIRDEAUX set the pace, responded when challenged, dueled through the stretch and yielded late, grudgingly. BREAKER WAVE was never far off the pace, rallied on the turn, bid willingly to contend, hung late and settled for show. I AM ON THE LIST lagged early, bid between horses on the turn, found his best stride late and was gaining ground. BORDERLAND put in an even effort in an outside trip and did not threaten. CINCO TACO broke slowly and was crowded at the start, trailed the field and passed tiring rivals. COWBOY CADE saved ground, lacked a response and was outrun. THE BIRDMAN came out at the start, pressed the pace, was through early and stopped. TAKE THIS CITY was eased and walked off.
