BATTALION LEADER tracked the early pace while saving ground, well placed into the turn, waited a bit for racing room at the quarter marker then tipped out and found a seam into upper stretch, vied for the lead at the furlong marker, took command past mid-stretch, kept to task under late hand urging. COOL AGENT showed speed, set pace to the quarter marker, met the bid of BATTALION LEADER to mid-stretch, yielded to the winner in the final stages, second best. SHOP TIME settled mid-pack, coaxed three to four wide to the quarter marker, lacked a final kick in the drive, stayed on for third. PASSED OVER hopped at the start, settled and saved ground to the turn, needed more in the stretch drive, outkicked for third. SLAMIN SAMMIE hit gate at the start and off a bit slowly, gained ground five wide along the turn, chased to mid-stretch, flattened out. RAROTONGA took back off of the early pace, advanced outside of rivals into the turn, chased six wide to the quarter marker, lost ground five wide into upper stretch, no threat late. LAZY Y GIRVIN was forwardly placed in the early stages, chased between rivals heading to the turn, ran in pursuit two wide and between foes into the turn, lost ground three wide upper stretch, gave way. ECHO MARINE was forwardly placed early on, chased between rivals approaching the turn then shuffled into the bend, ran in pursuit two to three wide to the stretch, weakened in the drive. ONE DEAL settled off of the early pace, coaxed three to four wide to the quarter marker, swung six wide to upper stretch, lacked a bid at mid-stretch, no factor late. E Z WORDS settled mid-pack, lost position into the turn, coaxed two to three wide to the quarter marker, trailed to upper stretch, could not find more in the lane and tired. HEAT UM UP close up while three wide in the early stages, chased to the quarter marker, lost ground to upper stretch, empty in the stretch drive.
