CHIP ALTERNATIVE settled while saving ground early on, well placed into the backstretch, angled out into the far turn then loomed three wide nearing the top of the lane, vied to mid-stretch, took command into the final furlong, drew off in the late stages and won in hand. LA VONDA SECURITY rated off of the early pace, tracked the leading pair three wide along the backstretch, bid into the far turn then vied for the lead nearing the quarter, battled between foes to upper stretch, was no match late for the winner but was a clear second best. GLORY ALL THE TIME showed early speed, pressed the pace outside of EVIL TOM into the backstretch, disputed the pace to the far turn then vied into the far turn, yielded to the top pair in the drive and was a clear third. EVIL TOM sent to take early command, set a pressured pace to the half-mile, overtaken into the far turn and faded in the stretch.
