COUNTESS broke well, secured a forward rail position on the first turn, was held off the pace through the early stages, advanced closer on the far turn, then followed INVASION GIRL into the stretch, tipped out to the three-path and drew clear in the late stages under steady handling. PRETTY DANG FAST lunged at the start, then settled well off the early pace near the rear while saving ground, then made a strong late bid through the stretch to get up for second. INVASION GIRL veered out sharply at the start, raced three to four wide mid-pack through the middle stages, moved up through the far turn to be in range of the lead approaching the quarter pole, took the lead in upper stretch but failed to last. STREET WISDOM was away well but ceded the front to PINK CHAMPAGNE, went after that rival past the half-mile pole, took the lead into the far turn with INVASION GIRL pressing to the outside, yielded the lead to that one in upper stretch, and went evenly the rest of the way. SUENO MAGICO was impeded at the start, steadied hard, then was held up near the rear for the first half-mile, was asked to quicken at that point but lacked the needed response. HOT COOKIE went three-wide on the first turn, started to lose ground midway through the far turn and was not a factor from that point. PINK CHAMPAGNE lunged at the start, spotting the rest a head start, rushed up four-wide through the turn to take a clear lead heading down the backstretch, gave way readily when put to a challenge near the half-mile pole, and trailed to the wire.
