Footnotes
REYA SUNSHINE tracked the early pace from the inside, was well placed to the turn then angled out nearing the quarter marker, bid three then four wide to upper stretch, took command into the final furlong, drew clear in the late stages. SAY AS I SAY settled off of the early pace, trailed to the quarter marker then faced a wall of runners nearing the top of the lane, rallied three wide and between foes into the final furlong, could not reel in the winner into deep stretch, up in time for second. PIRULITA broke out and bothered outer rival at the start, raced close up to the early pace, chased three then four wide nearing the quarter marker, spun five wide to upper stretch, was outkicked by the leading pair into the final sixteenth, held for third. RED FLAT PUMPS broke in at the start, hustled to contest the early pace, took command and showed the way two wide into the turn, led to upper stretch then overtaken nearing the furlong pole, chased to the final sixteenth, yielded late. HELENA BABY lost path at the start and off slowly, settled off of the early pace, caught in traffic nearing the quarter marker then squeezed through a narrow opening into upper stretch, chased while within aim into the final furlong, flattened out late. NEWS TOO SERIOUS showed early speed and pressed the pace from the inside, disputed the pace to the quarter marker, was in tight and jostled while weakening into upper stretch, gave way in the final furlong. HAPPY KEIRA crowded at the start and off a bit slowly, settled outside of rivals in the early stages, coaxed four to five wide to the quarter marker, swung widest to upper stretch, lacked a late response. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING IN UPPER STRETCH OF THIS RACE, AND RULED NO CHANGE WOULD BE MADE.
