LUCKY N LAWLESS hopped slightly at the start but hustled away to secure the lead into the first turn, was joined by ZED entering the backstretch, relinquished the front while tracking closely, came through along the inside after the three-furlong pole to reengage, fought on between rivals, and prevailed in a tight finish. ZED was sent from the outside post to contest the early pace, cleared to the front entering the backstretch, opened a narrow advantage into the far turn, and fought on stubbornly before coming up on the wrong end of the photo finish. INDY ROAD broke sharply but awkwardly to the outside, pushed to get forward position, then raced close up while three wide early, moved up to challenge nearing the quarter pole and stayed on willingly outside the leading group while falling short. PROMISSIONE was allowed to settle near midpack early, came under a drive after the three-furlong pole, and finished with interest but left too much to do. ATREIDESREFLECTION broke in and bumped with EXPO CITY, advanced four wide into the first turn and tracked the pace from close range, was boxed in through the far turn, angled out under a drive nearing the quarter pole and stayed on evenly without threatening. EXPO CITY mutually bumped with ATREIDESREFLECTION at the start, secured inside position into the clubhouse turn but steadied in tight quarters midway around that bend, dropped back along the rail on the backstretch, worked back into contention nearing the top of the stretch, and stayed on evenly without a closing punch. GET DREAMY settled near the rear in the two-path, saved ground through the far turn, and improved position mildly. ESSENTIAL TIME raced three wide near the back and showed little late response. DETTORI was forwardly placed early on but four-wide, then faltered early in the stretch. BOUNDLESS OPTIMIST got crowded midway through the clubhouse turn, raced mid-pack in the two path, weakened on the far turn and was uninvolved in the late stages. STOKE THE FIRE got bothered slightly by the inside rival, then was last into the first turn and trailed throughout. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE ACTION ON THE CLUBHOUSE TURN. AFTER A REVIEW, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
