WANDERING KIRBY sent for the early lead, took command then set a solid pace while prompted into the backstretch, shook free into the far turn, drew off to upper stretch, was weary into the final sixteenth but held safely over oncoming rivals. LADY OF THE NILE allowed to settle early, got caught in traffic into the far turn, weaved through rivals to the final furlong, closed willingly along the rail to the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner late and was up in time for the place. UNLIKELY QUEEN settled while saving ground to the backstretch, shifted off of the rail into the far turn, roused three then four wide to upper stretch and rallied to the final sixteenth, was outkicked late for second and held for third. JEWLZ took back into the first turn, settled mid-pack into the backstretch, roused two then three wide to the stretch, ran in pursuit while closest to WANDERING KIRBY into the lane, yielded in deep stretch and was outfinished for the minor awards. COMPETITIVE THREAT (IRE) rated into the first turn, settled to the backstretch, saved ground to the far turn then waited for racing room at the quarter marker, angled out and mounted a four then five wide bid at mid-stretch, ran in pursuit to the final sixteenth, needed more late. JALAPENA LENA forwardly placed early on, was well placed while saving ground into the backstretch, got caught in tight nearing the top of the lane, found room to upper stretch then lacked the needed response in the final sixteenth. MIDWAY VOW broke through the gate prior to the start, settled to the first turn, widest along the backstretch, coaxed five wide to the quarter marker, chased into the stretch, needed more late. SUGAR HILL broke a step slowly then caught a bit wide to the first turn, settled to the backstretch, coaxed two wide to the quarter marker, swung seven wide to upper stretch, failed to threaten late. MAGIC GLASS close up to the early pace, tracked from the second flight along the backstretch, dropped back along the far turn and weakened. BOLTORO reserved early, traffic far turn, angled widest, no factor. PURE PIZZAZZ settled mid-pack, traffic far turn, no bid upper stretch, gave way. ROYAL SUBJECT pressed, repelled far turn, tired stretch.
