MISS SUNDAZE showed no speed despite some early coaxing, was outpaced early, then made a three-wide sweeping move around the turn, then continued the bid through the stretch to win clear in the end. SASSY FLYER settled off the pace, moved up four-wide on the turn, loomed with a big chance turning for home, then finished up well but could not match the winner late. SPARKLY was away well on the inside, dueled with QUIXX briefly, backed off the developing speed duel after passing the half-mile pole, dropped back a bit on the turn, but came back in the stretch to gain the minor award. QUIXX was hard to load, was hustled to the lead after the break, vied inside of two other rivals through the turn, led as far as mid-stretch, then weakened in the final stages. SCATTERED MISCHIEF was outpaced initially from the break but found a good stride within a furlong, moved up to contest the pace three-wide but was not doing enough in the final furlong. NOW HEAR THIS tracked a few lengths behind the pace racing in the two-path, then lacked a finish. SHESASMALLTOWNGIRL was briefly close up, dropped back well before the turn and was outrun the rest of the way.
