GOLD MESA broke alertly and assumed early command, set a pressured pace to the turn while outside ofONENITE OFMISCHIEF, shook free into the turn then held a clear lead to the stretch, was getting weary into the final sixteenth but held for the win. K K'S KAITY EDGE hopped at the start and was off slowly, settled in the second flight then was coaxed four wide to the turn, ran in pursuit to upper stretch, was able to close into the winner's margin in the final sixteenth but could not reel that one in and held for second. HOLIDAY CRUISE prominent early then rated off of the pace, chased two wide along the turn, fought on into the stretch and was gaining in the late stages, was caught a bit in tight between the leading pair in deep stretch and was well clear of the rest for third. TROT THIS WAY hard to load, got crowded by ONENITE OFMISCHIEF when that rival broke in at the start, was off slowly then settled three wide and between rivals, shifted out nearing the top of the lane and angled widest for the stretch drive then passed tired foes. ONENITE OFMISCHIEF broke in at the start and crowded inner rival, went up to press the early pace from inside of GOLD MESA, repelled by the pacesetter into the turn and chased to upper stretch, could not find more into the drive and gave way. JOLLY GOOD TIME off a step slowly then caught in tight between foes in the early stages, settled in the second flight then saved ground heading into the turn, lacked the needed response at the quarter pole, trailed to upper stretch and tired in the lane.
