STAYED IN FOR HALF broke a step slowly, showed good speed and went up to dispute the early pace from the inside, vied inside of a pair of rivals while contesting solid fractions into the turn, dug in to upper stretch, held off foes into the final sixteenth and was unyielding in deep stretch for a determined win. INNOVA settled just off of the quick early pace, saved ground into the turn, waited for racing room behind rivals into upper stretch, found a seam between foes into the final furlong, surged in deep stretch and missed for the win, while just holding for the place. TRUST DADDY broke alertly, showed good speed from the gate and disputed the solid pace three deep approaching the turn, contested the pace three wide to the quarter marker then vied for the lead to upper stretch, fought gamely into the final furlong, could not muster the needed final response and was outkicked for the win and place, while just holding for the show. MARCUS GIFT threw his head then was crowded at the start and was last away from the gate, trailed to the turn, asked for run six wide to upper stretch, closed willingly in the late stages but could not reel in the leaders at the wire. CARIBBEAN DREAM away in good order, vied for the early lead from between runners then pressed the solid pace two wide into the turn, disputed quick fractions to the quarter marker and battled to upper stretch, fought on to the final sixteenth then yielded in deep stretch. BAD BEAT BRIAN forwardly placed early on, took back and tracked from the second flight, swung three then four wide to upper stretch, offered a late bid but needed more in deep stretch.
