Footnotes
POSITIVITY prominent early, disputed pace two wide into the turn, pressed to the quarter marker then took command to upper stretch, dug in past mid-stretch and proved best in the end. DUTCH MILLS caught in tight between foes early on, shifted to be five wide and close up to the pace entering the turn, stalked to the quarter marker then ran in pursuit to upper stretch, rallied into the final sixteenth and held well late for the place. DR. SOULFIRE settled in the second flight to begin, tracked the leading ground two wide nearing the quarter pole, caught in tight to upper stretch, found room into the final furlong, was outkicked late for the place honors and held for the show. CHEZ WHIZ settled while never far back in the early going, saved ground into the turn and tracked the leaders to the quarter marker, boxed in nearing the top of the lane, found room into the final furlong, needed more late and was outkicked for the minor awards. I'M WIDE AWAKE jostled and shuffled back soon after the start, went up to press the pace four wide heading to the turn, disputed the pace between foes and four deep nearing the quarter marker, gave chase into the stretch, battled to the sixteenth-pole then gave way in deep stretch. WILD JEWELS hustled from the gate, assumed early command and set a pressured pace into the turn, led to the quarter marker then was overtaken to upper stretch, fought on into the final furlong, faded in the final sixteenth. HALO RANDO hit the gate at the start and trailed early, made a steady gain to the quarter marker, angled seven wide to upper stretch then could not muster the needed late response. SPEIGHTSVILLE showed good speed and was prominent early, pressed the pace three wide and between foes into the turn, lost position to upper stretch, got shuffled back nearing the furlong pole then had little left for the final stages. BLING MOUNTAIN settled while widest along the backstretch run, kept a wide trip into the turn, swung to the seven to eight path to upper stretch and failed to threaten late. FLASH HUMOR shuffled back in the early going, settled to the turn, coaxed from the four path nearing the quarter marker, angled in to upper stretch, no late response.
