I'M ON EDGE settled in the middle of the main pack down the backstretch, launched a three-wide bid for the lead approaching the quarter pole, chased down the EDGEMEISTER loose on the lead through the stretch, and was up in the final yards. EDGEMEISTER broke sharply and went quickly to a clear lead, maintained a length advantage through the turn, put another length on the field when set down in upper stretch, but was unable to last. SPEAKING OF ART was always in range while racing along the rail, slipped through an opening along the rail in upper stretch, and finished well to gain third despite racing on the left lead for most of the stretch run. KNOTTY KITTY chased from well behind the main pack, then was mildly gaining in the final furlong. LOVEREIGNORME veered out after the start, raced five-wide down the backstretch, continued on that path through the turn, was the outside horse of four fanned out across the track turning for home, briefly loomed a threat, but flattened out. CHIP ALTERNATIVE was void of early speed and dropped far back, kept to the inside path through the turn, but was unable to make an impact. CITYCITYBLINGBLING tracked the pace close up and three-wide, then lacked a finish.
