Footnotes
BLAME DA INNOCENT tracked well off the pace of the runaway leader, launched a bid on the far turn, drove past the tiring leader and went clear in the final furlong. SHANGHAI CUPID raced near the back, saved ground to the stretch, then rallied up the rail to claim second. BIG BANG BOOM settled early, came three wide into the stretch, and made a mild rally to gain the third spot. FAIR WEATHER FLYER raced near the back two to three paths off the rail, ran on late but came up short of hitting the board. SPIDERS REVENGE sprinted to a double-digit clear early lead, then shortened strides in the home stretch and was overtaken. CAHILL'S LEGACY was not asked for any speed from the outset, got in a tight spot heading into the first turn, was last as the field headed down the backstretch, made an early move near the half to move up into third on the far turn, but faltered in upper stretch and was unable to threaten. TWO STEPS AHEAD showed good speed from the outside post but ceded the front to the runaway leader, raced at the head of the main group to the half-mile pole, then staged a steady retreat before the far turn and was uninvolved in the later stages.
