Footnotes
CITY OF CLOUDS broke slow, was outrun and well behind the rest through the early stages, came out four-wide into the stretch, found best stride late and surged late to get up in the last jump. TAKE ACTION broke on top and was under a hard ride to make the lead, settled in and dueled with GOOD LOVIN, continued to battle that rival to deep stretch, gained a slight advantage late, but was tagged by the winner right at the wire. GOOD LOVIN dueled inside of a rival, kept on well, but was outfinished in the closing stages. FORT HOOD tracked close to the dueling leaders down the backstretch, moved out three-wide near the quarter pole to pid for the lead, then flattened out a bit in the stretch. SWEET RIVER BAINES missed the break, then moved up to join the main pack late on the backstretch, finished with interest, weakened in the late stages.
