Footnotes
SUENO MAGICO tracked from the inside while mid-pack, made a forward move passing the five-eighths pole, advanced three-wide through the turn, swung four-wide into the top of the stretch, was kept to task through the lane, and edged clear late. HONOR GOD tracked behind the pace in the second flight to the half, moved up midway through the turn to be in range of the front approaching the quarter pole, swung three-wide into the stretch, briefly dueled with SUENO MAGICO, could not match strides late but held clear to the second spot. STREET WISDOM pressed the early pace from between horses for the first half-mile, responded when set down after BEST BEACH on the lead, came under pressure passing the quarter pole, flattened out a bit in upper stretch, but saved third, well clear of the next finisher. HOT COOKIE lacked any early speed and raced at the back of the field through the early stages, responded when put into a drive with three furlongs to run, and finished with mild interest to improve position. STIR UP DESIRE broke slowly and was last away, settled near the rear of the field early, then lacked a finish. BEST BEACH went four-wide on the clubhouse turn, took over the lead with five furlongs to run, led the way into the stretch, and gave way. WANNA ROCK flashed best speed early and tried to slow the pace, ceded the front to settle under cover, tracked the leaders along the rail, but weakened passing the three-eighths pole and was no factor late. BRUNCH SPOT raced close up in the two-path for a half-mile, then staged a steady retreat from that point and was not persevered with when hopelessly behind.
