RUNNING POINT hustled away to seize the early lead, was left to dictate pedestrian fractions for the first half-mile, quickened through the far turn while still traveling well, responded when set down at the top of the stretch, and held firm to the wire. PAINTED LAD got away well, ceded the front end to RUNNING POINT while keeping to a stalking position in the two-path, tried to go with that one in the stretch but could not match strides in the late, but managed to save the place. BANDERA BLING settled midpack but off the rail, moved up three-wide on the far turn, and finished with good interest but failed to change leads and hung in the closing yards. CINCO RICHIE missed the break, then rushed up to join the rest heading into the clubhouse turn, raced four wide, advanced up the backstretch, loomed approaching the quarter pole, but flattened out in the stretch. ADGER settled at the back early and failed to mount a rally. TAP TO CONNECT got caught three-wide on the first turn, tracked close up to the half, then started to lose ground mid-way through the turn and was not involved in the later stages. GUS CAUSE got inside a good inside position on the first turn, then dropped back to last early on the run down the backstretch, was under a ride on the far turn, but did not respond and trailed the rest to the finish.
