HEZAKOOLKAT was slow into stride, recovered to take command shortly after the start, maintained a narrow advantage over two rivals through the early stages while under a confident ride, then drew clear when asked and proved best. CARBON STRYKER was a bit slow into stride, advanced three wide to join the pace, loomed a threat nearing the quarter pole, drifted out entering the stretch, finished well while shifting out late, and was second best. RED SUMMERBIRD broke well, chased the leaders through the turn, advanced three wide to bid nearing the three-sixteenths pole, and lacked a further response late. TAKE MY MONEY took a bump from the outside rival and was off slowly, dropped to last early, made a mild advance while under handling through the turn, gained some ground late, but was never a serious threat. JUST HANGIN RIDGE pressed the pace between horses, dropped back nearing the quarter pole, and lacked a finish. SAMSPLAYERSLOUNGE left alertly, failed to maintain position, raced well off the pace while under pressure, went three wide on the turn, and did not threaten. CHASING THE RUSH was briefly in contention with the leaders, became outpaced from the half-mile pole, and was no factor thereafter.
