Footnotes
BILL was two-wide contesting the early pace on the first bend, ceded the lead, and dropped to a stalking position while well ahead of the rest of the field, took command approaching the five-sixteenths marker under confident handling, then kicked clear in the final furlong. MONEYLINE got caught four-wide into the first turn, raced near the front of the second flight, moved up in range of the leaders at the quarter pole, made a valiant try to catch the winner, but could not close the gap and had to settle for second. AUSTIN CRUISE went three-wide on the first turn, tracked well behind the two leaders, made a mild bid late on the turn but was not quite doing enough in the late stages to pose a threat. ASKARI got forward and inside position going into the clubhouse turn, went off to a clear lead down the backstretch, tried to battle back when confronted near the head of the stretch but was outfinished. STONINGTON broke well, then settled back off the pace, but did not offer a late bid. SINGING DIXIE lacked any early speed and moved over to the rail when clear, settled at the back and lacked a rally.
