Footnotes
R S AMERICAN TIDE with the lead pace backstretch while between horses, in tight and shuffled back into the turn, moved to the inside, patiently handled while saving ground behind horses into the stretch, lacked clear room then altered course to the outside past the furlong marker, closed with good resolve to kick down the winner in the final strides. BELLA'S GIRL last away, moved up steadily to contest the issue up front before a quarter, held a narrow advantage through the turn, extended that lead a bit when straightened for home, could not contain the winner in the final strides while prevailing for the place. SCATTERED MISCHIEF off the pace while out in the strip early, continued behind the lead pack into the turn, angled out five wide beginning to advance approaching late turn, came under a left handed crop entering the stretch and finished well to be closing the gap late. QUIXX came in while a bit unruly early, contest the pace three wide and between horses into the turn, continued to vie then gradually weaken through the lane. SHE'S EXTRA pressed the issue up front while widest up the backstretch, five wide when still applying pressure entering the turn, began to gradually weaken late in the bend. FRANNY with the pace four wide up the backstretch, gave way from between horses midway on the turn.
