KNOCK KNOCK JOKE was allowed to settle early while the pace scenario played out up front, launched a bid leaving the three-furlong pole, came out four-wide into the lane, and ran down PERFECT MAGIC loose on the lead, despite lugging in through the stretch run. PERFECT MAGIC was away best, then vied between rivals under confident handling, responded when set down at the top of the stretch, opened up, but was unable to last. FINAL STORM settled well off the pace behind the pace battle, was kept to task late, and moved up to take the third prize. RAISE THE BAR was three-wide in the early pace battle, loomed a threat to upper stretch, then gave way. CLOVISCONNECTION pressed the pace along the inside, then weakened approaching the quarter pole.
