Footnotes
TEXAS SPEED QUEEN brused with the inside rival at the break, was a bit hard to place early on, then became boxed in through the turn, came out four-wide into the stretch aind finished up well to win by a comfortable margin. EDGE CHASER broke sharply and hustled to a clear early advantage, held sway through the turn, then was beset by challengers at the head of the stretch, kept on well to hold clear, but was passed by the winner in the final yards. COURTINBYMOONLIGHT was outpaced initially despite being under heavy coaxing from the rider, settled in off the pace, dropped down to the rail before the half-mile pole, then finished well up the rail and just missed getting up for second. AVALING ducked out and steadied at the break and was last into stride, moved up three to four wide late on the backstretch run, then was in range of the lead three-wide on the turn for home, but could not generate the needed late response. CLOSING SPEAKER chased three-wide just behind the pacesetter, gave a good effort, but was outfinished in the closing stages. COWGIRL DREAM devoid of early speed, moved out to the three-path on the turn, made a five-wide swing into the stretch but flatened out and was unable to improve.
