Footnotes
WHATA MOON raced four to five wide throughout, remained close to the pace, then finished well under strong handling to prevail. COPPER WIND broke well, vied along the inside, was second turning for home, lost that position to LEILA MAE in upper stretch, then came back to regain second as that rival weakened late. LEILA MAE was three deep on the early pace, took a narrow lead after the half-mile pole, led into the stretch and held a slight advantage late, but got a bit tired in the final yards and was overtaken by the top two finishers. BANK ON DAISY vied along the inside early, backed off at the half-mile pole, stayed close up along the rail and finished willingly. HONOR AND FIRE was last early, saved ground, and stayed on through the stretch. NATIVE CHARMER tracked six wide while well off the pace, was on the wrong lead in upper stretch and flattened out. READY TO DIAL was midpack to the turn and lacked a late rally.
