CAPTAIN BLOOD in good position behind the first flight toward in the inside through the first turn, continued to stalk the pace backstretch, angled out and attacked in the three path between rivals early in the final bend, vied then hooked up with the winner inside that one for a lengthy and heated stretch battled, held a narrow advantage with a furlong to run, outgutted late. BRAVITAS lacked early foot outside, began a steady advance the middle half mile, challenged in the four path far turn, dueled into the stretch, spirited stretch battle, led, outgutted late. CARL ERSKINE stumbled at the start, quickly recovered to contest the issue into and through the first turn in the three path, alternated up front in the run up the backstretch, responded when the top two came calling in the far turn, vied with that pair into the lane closest to the inside, began to steadily weaken in the run to the wire while still remaining far clear of the others. ESSENTIAL STORM lacked early foot, improved a bit well out in the strip second turn, came five wide for the drive, finished up one paced to maintain position with mounting a bid. ENDUE four wide when forwardly placed first turn, steadily retreated. LOQUACIOUS LOUAN last away, continued to lag, fell further back and was always outrun.
