Footnotes
HE IS HEAVEN SENT outrun early while racing out in the strip, began to move while three wide far turn, moved out a bit to be four wide into the stretch, set down, idled a bit past midstretch then managed a late surge to nail the leader in the final strides. CURLY'S ONE THING broke running, dueled out of the chute, continued to alternate up front the middle half mile in the three path, disposed of the other speed when straightened for home, well clear past the furlong marker, caught late, remained well clear for the second spot. GRIND JIM broke back, continued to lag for three furlongs, steered out five wide turning into he stretch, finished with good energy down the middle of the strip to be in time for the show. WARRIOR'S EDGE broke sharp, narrowly showed the way onto the maintrack, alternated with the winner up front into and through the turn, could not keep pace with that one approaching the furlong grounds, weakened, caught for the show. ECHO MARINE in the second flight while three wide, went evenly through the lane to come up empty in the late going while between horses. FLY RED BIRD FLY fractious in the gate then was rank at the break, raced well back as a result, picked off some tiring rivals to improve in the drive without posing a serious threat. OBVIOUS CONCLUSION broke back, moved up to race in the second flight while between horese. LAZY Y GIRVIN remained back in failing to threaten. GET BACK JO JO broke back, moved up early along the inside, was finished before a half.
