TWELVE VOLT unhurried in the early going while off the inside, three wide second turn when beginning to advance, continued to close the gap upper stretch, challenged on the outside of the lead flight past the furlong marker and proved best under firm handling. GASOLINE forwardly placed early while off the inside, moved to challenge the leader entering the far turn, dueled through that bend and upper stretch, narrowly showed the way nearing the furlong marker, could not match the winner late while holding sway for the place. EL GUTY broke forwardly, worked way clear from the outside through the first turn, showed the way up the backstretch under light restraint, responded when the runner up came calling far turn, dueled with that one into the stretch then gave ground grudgingly to the top two, clear of the others. TIS CHARMING last away from the gate, raced back toward the inside, angled out four wide turning into the stretch, stage a mild rally to improve position, not a threat to the top three. MORO MAFIA broke well, forwardly placed into the first turn, moved closer with the runner up and between horses into the far bend, began to weaken late in that bend. CODE JORGIE broke back, lacked speed, floated out into the five path by TIS CHARMING exiting the final turn, remained back in lacking a closing response. TEXIAN DEVIL forwardly placed inside, stopped midway on the far turn, far back, jogged in.
