EQUUS rated the pace on the inside, took charge on the backside, opened up a comfortable lead, responded when roused turning for home, drew away, was ridden out and in hand the final seventy yards. SALAGADOOLA raced off the pace, saved ground on the far turn, rallied on the rail entering the stretch and closed for second. LA VECCHIA SIGNORA stalked the leaders in the early stages, then tracked on the inside, chased on the far turn and weakened. SWEET NOLA raced two wide off the pace, moved up midway on the far turn, then lacked a stretch rally. CHARLIE'S BEAUTY broke awkwardly and was bumped, then raced off the rail, off the pace, chased three wide on the far turn, came four wide into the lane and tired. PURPLE LU LU bobbled and bumped a rival at the break, then vied two wide for the lead, chased and faded.
