PRINCESS GLADYS stalked close up outside, chased three wide on the turn, came wide into the stretch, closed willingly outside in midstretch, wore down the leader, drew clear under mild urging and in hand nearing the wire. GOLD STAMP pressed the pace racing close up two wide, bid on the turn, took over, dug in gamely in the stretch drive, yielded to the winner, then held on narrowly to save the place spot. PAT'SCHROMECOMPASS tracked on the inside, chased two wide on the turn, rallied on the rail in the final furlong and just missed for second. TAPRIXIE set the pace on the inside, dueled briefly on the turn and gave way.
