BON COURAGE vied inside for the lead, dueled on the turn, battled back gamely on the rai in the final furlong and prevailed late. ROYAL MERIT tracked on the inside, chased inside on the turn, rallied in the two path in the stretch run, dug in gamely to the finish and earned the place spot. JERSEY'S THE BOSS stalked close up three wide, bid three wide on the turn, gained a short lead, dug in gamely between horses in the stretch drive and was outfinished. CUDDY'S LUCKY stalked outside, bid four wide on the turn, rallied four wide in the stretch run and was outfinished. JOHNNY BAY GOODE was off slowly, trailed the field, moved up outside on the turn, went five wide past the quarter pole, bid outside rivals at the furlong marker, then weakened.
