ARCHIMEDES vied three wide for the early lead, chased three wide on the turn, rallied three wide in the stretch, put a head in front near the sixteenth marker and prevailed after a long drive. INTO INSPIRATION vied between rivals for the early lead, dueled two wide on the turn, gained a short lead, then battled with the winner and dug in gamely to the finish. FIRST NAVY JACK (IRE) vied four wide early, chased four wide on the turn, rallied four wide into the stretch and finished evenly outside. SCOTTIE TOO HOTTIE vied inside in a contested early pace, dueled inside on the turn, dug in to midstretch, then weakened. BIG DOSSER raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the turn and had no rally.
