CHAZ THE CHIEF was bumped at the start, raced off the pace inside, advanced between rivals on the far turn, came five wide into the lane, rallied outside, closed willingly in the final sixteenth and kicked clear. FRANKIE G vied inside for the lead, dueled on the far turn, briefly shook free in upper stretch, then dug in gamely in the two path and held on for second. HAPPY OFFERING was squeezed back after the start, raced off the pace inside, rallied on the rail in the stretch run, dug in gamely and just missed for the place spot. HURRICANE JERRY broke outward, raced off the pace, steadied at the five furlong marker, moved up inside on the far turn, rallied inside, then finished evenly in the three path.
