THORSNESS set the pace on the inside racing with a comfortable lead, opened up on the far turn, responded when roused entering the stretch, drew off and was ridden out. ROSCOE PINE raced off the pace, moved up three wide entering the far turn, rallied four wide into the stretch, closed outside rivals, dug in gamely and got the nod for second at the wire. OHIO JOE raced two wide off the pace, chased between rivals on the far turn, rallied inside of ROSCOE PINE, dueled with that rival and just missed for the place spot. MAGICAL MARRIAGE raced off the pace between rivals, chased between foes on the far turn, rallied mildly and was outkicked for the minor placings. CUPID'S DUDE raced four wide on the first turn, settled three wide off the pace, chased three wide on the far turn and tired. TOK TOK raced off the pace inside, saved ground on the far turn and had no rally. MT SURIBACHI was off slowly and outrun. INTO IT pulled close up early, then stalked two wide, chased inside on the far turn and faded.
