SILVER SLUGGER set the pace racing off the inside, showed the way on the turn, came wide into the stretch, responded when asked, drew clear, was ridden out and geared down late. SUPER CHOW stalked close up outside early on, chased on the turn, was floated wide turning for home, rallied outside in the stretch run and dug in gamely for second. NORTHERN FLAME vied outside of SILVER SLUGGER for the early lead, then chased that rival, made a mild bid at the quarter pole, rallied between rivals in the stretch drive and dug in to the finish. PEDRO NUNES broke a step slow, raced off the pace, chased inside on the turn, made a mild bid inside at the furlong marker, then was outfinished. VINSANITY raced off the pace, chased two wide on the turn and weakened.
