Footnotes
BOARDWALK JACK stalked close up two wide, chased on the turn, bid between rivals passing the quarter pole, rallied outside, took over, drew clear under urging and coasted the final yards. RIVER DOG showed good early speed to set the pace, dueled into the stretch, dug in gamely inside, then was no match for the winner. PRIVATE DESIRE broke a step slow, pulled close up early on the inside, chased inside on the turn, drifted out entering the stretch bothering DIAMOND HEIST, then rallied mildly. DIAMOND HEIST trailed the field, chased between rivals on the turn, was bothered and checked at the top of the stretch, then failed to rally. LEVEE WAS DRY stalked three wide, then chased four wide on the turn and tired. After a Stewards' Inquiry and Jockey Objection by the rider of DIAMOND HEIST against PRIVATE DESIRE, the race was declared official.
