HAPPYCASTLE got away alertly and stalked the early pace the loomed to challenge at the 3/8 pole before taking the lead into the stretch then was roused and drew clear. SWEET KYLIE rated in the middle of the pack with a four wide trip then made a steady advance on the turn and was all out into the stretch while second best. SCARED CAUSE rated in the second flight early then was urged between horses at the 1/2 pole and responded through the turn, running on late. DOIN MISCHIEF hopped at the start and spotted the field multiple lengths then was rushed up along the rail and made a brief bid into the turn before faltering in the stretch. DERBY DAY ICE was allowed to settle early then angled six wide into the stretch and was asked but made no rally. SOME KINDA WARRIOR was fractious in the gate then rushed up and set the early pace but was headed nearing the 3/8 pole and dropped back, coming up empty in the stretch.
