Footnotes
EXPECT THE BEST settled off the pace while angling in a bit to be three wide through most of the first turn, in some traffic early far turn, steered out to be four wide into the lane, dueled through upper stretch, kicked clear under steady handling. ANTHONIAN also behind the first flight first turn, steadied in some tight quarters onto the backstretch, made a strong move four wide to challenge midway on the final bend, three wide and inside the winner entering the stretch, dueled with that one past the furlong marker then could not keep up. FIRST BID void of early foot, began to pick his way when advancing through some traffic second turn and upper stretch, dropped to the inside for the drive, finished with good determination to earn the show along the rail while closing the gap on the runner up. MASTER MULE lacked speed while angling toward the inside first turn, continued back, remained in the two path through the second bend, staged a mild rally to contend for the show spot past the furlong marker, outkicked for that position. MAJOR DAX off a step slow, raced back off the pace, improved three to four wide out of the second turn, flattened out a bit late. GLOBAL QUOTE back off the pace outside, four wide through the second turn, went evenly through the lane in lacking a closing response. STOKE THE FIRE fell back to trail after the start, continued to lag, swung out five wide into the stretch, improved with some belated interest. SCOTTISH STORM raced back off the pace in the two path, failed to rally. DYNAMIS pressed the issue up front while between horses, gave way second turn. ATTERSEE also with the pace while three wide for six furlongs, faltered. COPPER ECHO off the pace while five wide into the first turn, gave way after a half. RIGHT ON RIGHT ON helped set the pace along the inside for five furlongs and stopped.
