POPPA ECHO laid up close along the hip of the inner pacesetter in the three path, vied for the lead passing the five-sixteenths pole, took command while in the three path at the top of the lane, and kicked clear. MIRAGE tracked inside, was ridden around the turn, and kept on between foes from the three path down the stretch for place. BOB'S CARROT set the pace in the two path, was cued midway around the far turn, lost the lead at the top of the lane, and faded in the final furlong to show. DARK VECTOR trailed along the inside, improved inside of rivals around the turn, but flattened in the stretch. PURSE THIEF stalked in the four path but faded. TAPWRITS TEMPER settled off the pace outside of foes in the five path but did not threaten. MAMOOT raced in midpack from the four to three paths but retreated. RUN FOR GOLD chased in the four path but never menaced.
