OTELLO showed the way while off the rail, came under pressure when challenged midway around the far turn, dug in gamely while floating out to the four path at the top of the lane, continued to fight on, appeared to jump a puddle while switching to the left lead around the sixteenth, and drew clear. NUMBER ONE DUDE laid up close in the two path, bid under coaxing between foes midway around the far turn, floated out to the five path at the top of the stretch, could not keep up with the winner in the final furlong, but kept on to be second best. NAVAJO WARRIOR tracked in the three path, ranged up to bid midway around the far turn, flattened in the five path down the lane, but chased on to hold show. SPEED BIAS raced in range along the inside, was roused from the rail midway around the far turn, but faded in the two path down the stretch. IMPERIAL GUN raced off the pace in the two path, was ridden in the three path passing the quarter, angled out to the six path passing the eighth pole, but made no final bid. KEEN CAT bumped with an outer foe at the start, trailed in the five path up the backstretch and made no impact. ARCHIE THE GIZA stalked in the five path but retreated in the seven path down the stretch. NEON NIGHTS rated in the two path but did not threaten. THREE TECHNIQUE bumped with an inner foe at the start, rated in the four path but never menaced.
