HOT GUNNER led the chasing field from the two path, ranged up alongside the pacesetter in the three path passing the quarter, bid while floating out to the seven path at the top of the lane, drew ahead entering the final furlong, and held off a late charging outer foe. ULTIMATE STRIKE tracked in the two path, was driven in the three path around the far turn, floated out to the eight path in upper stretch, ran on to make it close late but was out of time. GLOBAL EMPIRE bumped with an outer foe at the start, rated near the front of the chasing pack in the three path, rounded the far turn while driven in the two path, and kept on in the five path down the lane for show. BOLT AT MIDNIGHT broke out and bumped an outer foe, went well clear around the first turn to set a loose pace from just off the rail up the backstretch, waited while getting reeled in around the far turn, was roused passing the quarter, lost the lead while in the three path entering the final furlong, and faded around the sixteenth. BIG COMMERCE settled in midfield along the inside but flattened from the three path down the lane. MIGHTY ATLAS bumped between foes at the start, settled in the back of the pack along the inside, cut the corner under a ride turning into the stretch, but made no final bid. TEXAS RED HOT raced in midpack from the four path but finished evenly in the six path down the lane. SIR EXTON hopped at the start, was wellback in the three path early and made no impact. ICARUS bumped with an inner foe at the start, raced off the pace in the three path and did not factor. EMBER chased in the four path but made no closing bid.
