SYSTEMIC CHANGE raced off the pace along the rail, split rivals while angling out to the three path under a ride midway around the far turn, ranged up while swinging from the six path into the lane, kicked ahead to assert command approaching the final furlong, and drew clear. MENA chased in the three path, inched closer while coming under a ride passing the quarter, bid between foes from the five path in upper stretch, could not keep up with the winner in the final furlong, but chased on for place. PROTONIC POWER hopped at the start, was wellback in the three path, driven into the far turn, floated out to the nine path in upper stretch, tipped back in slightly, and finished evenly to get up for show. EMPIRE BUILDER pulled around the first turn to set a clear pace in the two path up the backstretch, continued into the far turn while well clear, was asked for more run midway around the far turn, floated out to the four path at the top of the lane, then yielded before the eighth pole. CAROLO RAPIDO trailed from the four to three paths, angled out to the nine path turning into the stretch, and was one paced pass tired inner rivals. BESTFRIEND ROCKET rated in the three path, was driven from the two path into the far turn, but did not factor. SWEETALKINGBOURBON raced in midpack from the four path but weakened in the stretch. BIG VINCE tracked in the two path but retreated.
