GOOGOL JOKE showed the way in the two path up the backstretch, was coaxed along from just off the rail around the far turn, and kicked on the lane to draw away. BARB was in range in the four path, loomed under a drive in the three path passing the quarter, could not keep up with the winning pacesetter down the stretch, but chased on to hold place. ARTHUR JR laid up close in the three path, angled to the rail while losing ground under a drive midway around the far turn, cut the corner into the lane, and finished evenly for show. MASTER MULE chased outside of rivals, was ridden in the four path around the far turn, but made no impact. PACIFIC tracked along the rail but weakened. LA HOULIGAN trailed in the three path, was herded out to the six path by a loose rival midway around the far turn, and could not factor. HOMER'S ODYSSEY stalked in the four path but retreated from the three path around the far turn. ANTHONIAN rated in the three path, fell going into the far turn, and was transported off the track in equine ambulance. THE WARDEN was held up inside of rivals from the two path up the backstretch but lost the rider trying to avoid a fallen foe entering the far turn, was caught shortly after the race and walked off.
